UnforSEEn Future Jameis Winston turnover issues is making it hard for him to find a job.
Former Tampa Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston is not having a great 2020. After throwing a league-high 30 interceptions last season he was not offered a contract and the Bucs signed free agent quarterback Tom Brady this off-season. It now looks as if he is having a hard time getting NFL teams to show any serious interest in obtaining his services.
"I think for him, it's to get into somewhere as a backup right now," Tampa Bay head coach Bruce Arians said in an interview with CBS Sports Radio's Tiki and Tierney. "It looks like all the starting jobs are done. Get in somewhere where he can sit and learn the system. Maybe a year, for an older person and take over, or get in competition with a younger guy."
Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report, reported that any attention towards Winston is coming from NFL front offices and not coaches who recognizes that he has the talent (5,109 yards passing and 33 touchdowns), but do not want to deal with the constant turnovers.
Winston had surgery this past off-season to correct a vision issue that may have led to maybe half of those turnovers in 2019.
