After pulling off a blockbuster trade on Wednesday that sent James Harden to the Brooklyn Nets, the Rockets may not be done answering the phone and returning text messages when it comes to the availability of one more veteran.
Rockets forward PJ Tucker, whose contract was not extended before the beginning of the 2020-21 NBA season has peaked the interest of some teams around the league. Kelly Iko of The Athletic has reported that multiple teams have reached out to the Rockets about a possible trade for the 35-year-old forward.
Tucker is still a good defender and is one of the most accurate corner three-point shooters in the league. He is currently averaging 5.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game this season, but it will be his expiring contract that will make him more attractive to a team that is looking to acquire a player for the remainder of the young NBA season.
