Burn Baby Burn! Nets Fans Burn A Starters Jersey After Game 7 Overtime Loss To The Bucks
In the world of, “You have got to be kidding me” lives certain sports fans that will basically surprise you on some of the limits they will go to prove their displeasures.
Take for example New York Yankees fans. They will go to the limit to prove how much they hate Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve by screaming “F*ck Altuve” at New York Knicks games. Yes. You read that correctly. At a basketball game.
One thing I didn’t have on my 2021 list besides the Altuve chants were fans burning the jersey of Brooklyn Nets forward Joe Harris.
After the Nets were eliminated in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals by the Milwaukee Bucks, some fans who have Harris’s jersey took to social media to record themselves making the jersey do something that Harris couldn’t do during the Bucks series and that is catch fire.
Harris, who was a marksman from the three-point line in the regular season from the Nets making 47% of his attempts, failed to carry that over into the semifinals as he was a dismal 16-for-49 in seven games.
So, if you are an upset Nets fan with $24.99 to waste, which is what I imagine they are going for now in the team store. Be safe with the lighter.
