Arizona Cardinals willing to have a conversation with Hopkins about new contract.
Rumors have swirled around the city of Houston that the reason Houston Texans head coach/general manager Bill O' Brien traded wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins was because he wanted a new deal with more guaranteed money.
Hopkins, who has three-years left on his contract that equals out to $39.915 million has never spoken on the matter which leaves one to speculate the real reason he was traded.
But it looks like the Cardinals may be willing to open up talks with the three-time All-Pro wide receiver about a new contract according to ESPN writer Josh Weinfuss who is the beat reporter for the Arizona Cardinals.
There have been rumored reports that Hopkins is seeking a new contract worth $18 to $20 million a year, which would get him near the guaranteed money that the Atlanta Falcons gave star wide receiver Julio Jones last year.
